According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sci-fi epic "Valerian" starring Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan will not be screened during this year's Cannes Film Festival, finally putting speculation to rest.
Written, produced and directed by the award-winning French film director Luc Besson ("Fifth Element," "Subway," "Le Grand Bleu," "Nikita"), "Valerian" is an upcoming English-French language sci-fi movie. The British supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne and actor Dane DeHaan ("Kill Your Darlings," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," and "A Cure for Wellness") play the lead characters.
It had been speculated that Besson would choose to screen "Valerian" at the Cannes Film Festival (May 17 to 28 2017) but according to an interview with Besson himself by The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will not be finished in time, and instead will premiere in July.
On March 18 Luc Besson celebrated his 58th birthday by releasing a new teaser trailer that also revealed that the full trailer will be published on Wednesday, March 22.
