Lubbock's Bone Daddy's barbecue restaurant re-opened after overnight fire

Bone Daddy's barbecue restaurant was re-opened Tuesday evening after a fire the night before at its west Lubbock location.

Lubbock Fire Rescue crews responded about 9:20 p.m. to the reported structure fire in the 3000 block of West Loop 289, according to a statement from LFR. No injuries were reported.

Flames were coming from the roof and smoke was inside the structure when crews arrived. Crews entered the building to discover the fire was primarily in the kitchen and smoker area. It was extinguished with no injuries reported.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire, which is under investigation by the Lubbock Fire Marshal's office.

The restaurant posted a brief message on their Facebook page Tuesday, saying they re-opened at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

"We had a small fire at the store, but everything has been taken care of and we're ready to serve you!" the post reads.
