LSP: Baker man charged with human trafficking, indecent behavior; victim rescued

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Louisiana man faces multiple charges, including human trafficking, following a Thursday, March 14, undercover operation at a Baton Rouge hotel.

The Louisiana State Police Special Victim’s Unit (LSP SVU) worked with Homeland Security Investigations to arrest a man they say has a history of trafficking. They also reportedly rescued a victim.

Kevontae J. Reed, 28, of Baker, was charged with human trafficking and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Following the investigation at a local hotel, investigators got an arrest warrant through the 19th Judicial District Court. He was arrested and is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center.
