Loving dog walks 20 miles back home from shelter TWICE after being put up for adoption
A poor pooch put up for adoption missed her previous family so much she kept returning to them, travelling 20 miles to get back to them.
Cathleen, a Great Pyrenees mix, was put up for adoption by her family in Seminole County, Oklahoma after they moved house and no longer had space to look after her.
She was left with a friend 20 miles away in Prague, Oklahoma while a local animal shelter tried to find her a new home.
“Cathleen has travelled twice from Prague (about a 20 mile trip) and returned to her family in Seminole,” Seminole Animal Shelter wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
“Her heart wants to be with them but they cannot keep her.”

The story prompted an outpouring of emotion on social media.
One Facebook user wrote: “Bless her heart… that’s just so sad…20 miles twice is a long long road to travel for this sweet girl,” one Facebook user wrote.
Another said: “People search for years and years for that kind of loyalty from a person…many times it comes in a four legged version.”
Cathleen is now living in the shelter while it looks for a new forever home for her.
Shelter employee Lynzi Thompson reportedly described the caring canine as a “love bug” and “very calm and docile”.
