Loved ones rally for answers to Debra Fox case

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Family and friends of a woman found dead in a wooded area of Wilkes-Barre earlier this year are seeking answers this holiday weekend.

They held a rally hoping local law enforcement would provide more information about how she died.

Outside of Wilkes-Barre Police Headquarters where Debra Fox’s loved ones spent the afternoon holding up signs in hopes of getting the attention of local officials.

While many may have been enjoying a barbecue Saturday afternoon, Patricia London and Danielle Fox had other plans. They decided to get a group together to demand answers from the police about the death of Debra Fox.

“It’s not right so we’re out here trying to get awareness because these detectives are not doing their job, I feel like they are not doing their job. I mean this case should have been solved,” said London.

Debra Fox was found dead in March. The body of the 69-year-old woman was discovered in a wooded area near the North Cross Valley Expressway.

“To get justice for my mom. Nobody wants to do anything so we’re just gonna see what we could do. We won’t stop till we get answers,” says Danielle.

London who is a friend of Danielle Fox says she is out here because it’s the right thing to do.

“I’m just a citizen trying to do right by people you know I mean, she deserves to have justice she deserves, this should not be happening we should not be out here doing this,” stated London.

Danielle Fox says her mother was an overall good person.

“My mom was kind, sweet, caring she would help anybody underneath the sun she wanna see nobody go homeless,” added Danielle.

She also says she will always cherish the memories she has with her mother.

“My favorite memory is when she was up at our house and there was a snake on the porch, and she just sat there, cool as a cucumber,” continued Danielle.

London has this message for anyone watching.

“If you know something please, Wilkes-Barre police station is right here guys that’s why we’re doing it. Come and talk they don’t care if you have warrants they don’t care if you have fines, just come if y’all know something. Step up let’s get justice for this woman,” explained London.

Family and friends of Debra Fox say they will not stop until justice is served for their mother and friend.
