Former Love Island star Kaz Crossley has unveiled her shaved head on social media, after donating her hair to charity.

Sharing the heartfelt update on her Instagram account, the reality star posted a series of pics of herself holding her locks up to the camera after donating them to the Little Lady Locks – a charity which provides under-18s suffering from hair loss with wigs.

"CHOP CHOP please get donating!!!" Kaz began the lengthy caption, going on to explain she had decided to donate her hair after meeting one of the girls waiting for a wig.

"Over the last few months I have been working closely with @littleladylocks charity. In this time I have met some incredibly brave and inspiring girls and have seen first hand the lengths @ashley_marie_hair goes to for them, helping regain their confidence after hair loss.

"I have seen how much these wigs have made a positive impact on their lives, and have since made it my mission to help as many girls as I can. I'm determined to spread awareness of this beautiful charity and hope you all see my dedication to this cause."

Kaz then went on to explain that she wanted to raise awareness for Little Lady Locks after learning that the charity was close to shutting down due to lack of funding – with costs for turning donated hair into wigs roughly £500.

She then went on to add that she would also be running the Manchester Marathon to raise extra funds for girls currently waiting to get wigs made.

"This really means a lot to me and I won't stop until we have put a smile on all their faces," she concluded the post, adding that her mum had also opted to shave her head for the charity.
