For the last month, Charlotte has been in the national spotlight in the newest season of “Love is Blind,” and the final episode is what fans across the country have been waiting for finally dropped: the cast reunion.

The latest season of Netflix’s reality dating show — which started with 30 local singles and ended with only one marriage — has been one to remember, to say the least.

From the blindsiding breakups to the off-screen drama on social media, the Charlotte contestants have endured quite the journey to find love behind closed doors.

Now, it’s time to catch up and find out where relationships stand a year after filming the show.

So what happened during the final episode of Season 6?

Here is a recap of “Love is Blind: The Reunion” and an update on the couples that found love and heartbreak on the show.

(Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD)

Along with former “Love is Blind” contestants from previous seasons, Amy, Johnny, AD, Clay, Jimmy, Chelsea, Brittany, Kenneth, Laura, Jeramey, Sarah Ann, Jess and Trevor were at the reunion to dish out details on all the drama on and off screen.

Amy and Johnny

Relationship status: Married

Just as it was shown in the finale, Amy and Johnny — the only couple to get married this season — are still happily together. Since tying the knot, the two are even closer with their new blended family.

“Our families talk all the time,” Amy said. “We’ve traveled together. We’ve gone to visit his family. We went to France with my family together.”

In the hot seat: The two also addressed their controversial debate over birth control during the show, thanks to a fan question about condoms.

“Condoms were always an option ... I didn’t really know too much about the whole topic of birth control at all until I really had the first conversation with Amy. After that, we basically went back to our corners, did more research on the whole subject and then we came back and found like an actual reason of ‘Hey, let’s move forward with this specific option,’” Johnny explained.

AD and Clay

Relationship status: Not together

Though the two went their separate ways on their wedding day, AD and Clay have since spoken but are not back together.

“She’s honestly the love of my life, and I will tell you, honestly, I did make a mistake,” Clay said. “You know, going to the altar and saying ‘No.’ But you know, it’s one of those things that you just kind of go through and live through.”

Though the two are on good terms, AD declined to answer if she’d ever be in a relationship with Clay again.

“You had your chance,” she said. “There was nothing that I wouldn’t have given you and there’s nothing I wouldn’t have done for you, and I feel like, low-key, respectfully … you played in my face. You knew you didn’t wanna get married.”

In response, Clay explained why he didn’t take that next step towards a marriage.

“I wanted to say yes. I saw you walk across the altar and I was like, ‘This is my wife,’” Clay said. “As it was going on, I’m looking at you and it was like, ‘I don’t know if I could show up for you every single day.’ I’m sure people who experienced this, that’s been through the experiment, you know, days are like weeks.

“I didn’t put the work in to understand love before I got in the process,” he said. “At the end of the day, I didn’t do the process right. I disrespected AD … It broke my heart to break your heart, and that was not my intention.”

We then got to hear how AD felt watching the conversation back between Clay’s parents after their wedding, when his mother confronted his father about how their relationship impacted him.

“I think that conversation really closed the circle for me. There were a lot of missing pieces that I just could not quite understand, and I knew that Clay’s parents had gone through their trials and hearing that conversation really showed me that he was battling things that I just, there’s nothing I could’ve done to take that stress from him,” she said.

“I didn’t wanna, respectfully, be Clay’s mom in the long run. I didn’t want that to be my story.”

We almost choked up when: Clay shouted out season 4 contestant Brett Brown for setting the example of a good husband.

“I just felt like he did everything, like he said all the right things. He just personified as a good Black man or a good husband. Not even a Black man, just a good husband, and you know, I just looked at him and I was like ‘I don’t think that who I am could do all what Brett did,’” Clay said.

“It was just like a little pessimistic thought, but even with that, you know, I give myself grace. I do it in my own way ... but the compliment is that I do think Brett is a stand-up guy.”

Chelsea and Jimmy

Relationship status: Not together

Of all the ups and downs Chelsea and Jimmy had this season, one of the biggest conflicts that was addressed was the moment she brought up his previous hook up with one of his closest friends.

“She didn’t deserve that. She didn’t love hearing it. She was there for me as a friend and someone that loved me. Someone that wanted to support me,” he said. “II told her about them in the pods. I was very forward ... I hated that all of this came out so bad and I can take it. They didn’t deserve it.”

Chelsea then again apologized again for bringing up that secret on camera that he shared behind the scenes.

“That was a huge issue and it was really sitting on me ... and I could never apologize enough for how horrible I feel for bringing it up and ruining that trust ‘cause it ruined everything,” she said. “I forget about the cameras. I didn’t even realize the cameras were there. It was just a huge argument that just blew up and I’m really sorry.”

The two then said that they have since talked things about and both agreed that they didn’t like how Chelsea addressed the issue.

“I can see it in my eyes when I’m speaking,” Jimmy said. “Everything after that, you know, we’re kind of going through the motions and it’s easy to see in hindsight what was the right decision, and the right decision would’ve been for me to let you go at that point. I drug it on partially because we loved each other so much.”

But even after the reunion, fans are still left wondering where things stand between Chelsea and Jimmy now, after they were spotted on a trip to Florida together.

In a previous interview before the finale aired, Chelsea did tell CharlotteFive that the two are not together but that she would “never say never” to getting back together. Only time will tell what their future holds.

We couldn’t help but laugh when: The hosts jokingly said they brought in Megan Fox at the reunion to talk about Chelsea’s infamous comment about her being her celebrity lookalike.

“It was just a silly little comment that I slid in there and my whole world has flipped upside down,” she said. “I’m really, really stinkin’ proud of myself for how I’ve been handling it. I didn’t think I could ‘cause the world is harsh ... and I have just been taking it with grace and just making humor of it, and it is what it is.”

Laura and Jeramey

Relationship status: Broken up. Jeramey is now dating Sarah Ann, and Laura is dating someone else too.

If you’ve been watching this season, you know Laura and Jeramey broke up after she found out that he secretly hung out with Sarah Ann after a night out partying.

Now, Jeramey and Sarah Ann are not only dating, but also living together.

Before getting into their love triangle drama, Jeramey did address the rumor that he applied to be on the show while engaged, which circulated online after a post shared from the mother of his ex-fiance.

“It’s not true,” he said. “So yes, I was previously engaged. Everybody I dated was aware of that. I had mentioned, yes, I had sold my house. I did go ahead and apply after I was out on my own, doing my own thing, got approached to apply and moved forward.”

He then went on to share more about the late night he had with Sarah Ann during the show, when the two claimed they were at Lost & Found until 5 a.m.

“I shared my location before I left the house. Nothing inappropriate happened. We did hang back and continue to talk afterwards. Only time I was at Sarah Ann’s house was when I would drop her off,” he said. “I didn’t intentionally lie about that.”

But Laura — who joined the reunion virtually called him out again for lying about meeting her behind her back.

“Once I saw his car get on the highway, I heard him come home and purposely stay in the living room,” she said. “I just knew. I knew he had seen her, and I mean I freaked out. For him to go meet her behind my back, I just knew it was sketchy.”

We also saw a never-before-seen clip of a conversation between Sarah Ann and Laura from their group lake party, where she apologized for reaching out to Jeramey on Instagram while the two were still together.

“I know that that came across so disrespectfully to you, and I am sorry if I hurt you in any way because I don’t want you to think that I came to ruin your relationship,” Sarah Ann told Laura. “I didn’t get off my chest what I needed to.

“I needed closure…and I thought, ‘If they’re not married just yet, should I just send the message now?’ ... I was in the real world while you guys were there and I was kinda heartbroken and I was just like, ‘I’m just gonna send it and get it off my chest and get on with my life.’ ... And I assumed, and I’m sorry.”

Later, the other contestants also piped in about how Jeramey and Sarah Ann have had an off-and-on relationship since the show wrapped.

“We have gone through real life relationship stuff since we have been together,” Jeramey said. “Have we had our ons and offs? Yes, we’ve had our ons and offs. We’ve had our ups and downs. We’ve had times where we’ve contemplated separating from each other ... We did realize fighting through things continuously that we do love each other.”

Our jaws dropped when: The Lacheys straight up asked Sarah Ann if everything she’s done is for entertainment, based on a recent video she posted saying that’s what reality television is meant for.

“I fell in love with who Jeramey is as a person and we’ve had a strong connection since the very beginning of this experiment, okay? And I don’t think for a second that anything between us for fake,” she said. “The reason I put the video up is I’m experiencing a ton of hate on the internet and I’m just a character, you know?

In the end, Sarah Ann and Jeramey both apologized to Laura for how things unfolded during the show.

Though she didn’t get the happy ending she wanted from the show, Laura also revealed that she is now in a relationship with someone else too.

Brittany and Kenneth

Relationship status: Not together, but still close

Shortly after moving in together, Brittany and Kenneth ended their engagement.

Biggest surprise of the night: After their emotional breakup, the two not only patched things up, but are practically best friends.

“We speak nearly every day,” Brittany said. “I get FaceTime calls at work. I call him at work. I’ve met people at his school, and I think that although we are no longer in a relationship together, the bond that we have is gonna last for eternity and I’m happy with that.”

Kenneth even opened up about what was going through his mind during their breakup.

“Everyone processes differently,” he explained. “I know, most times, you see like the emotionalism come in. That was there, just not at that moment. So when people say like, ‘Oh, he just didn’t care.’ Like no, that actually was not the case. I can understand how it looks but everyone’s different.”

The two also talked about having a close friendship in the future.

“We actually had a conversation the other day just about when we get to the phase of like really dating other people, how that will affect us” Kenneth shared. “It’s a very close-knit relationship. We’re also very respectful people right? So we don’t wanna offend the person that we talk to because of our rapport with each other.”

More shocking moments

Aside from the updates on the couples who got engaged on the show, Wednesday’s reunion also addressed other big moments from the season, including Trevor’s secret girlfriend — which came to light after screenshots were shared online revealing that he’d been in a relationship with someone during filming.

“I was not dating her technically… obviously we were close… and I told her before like, ‘I want to go on this to try to experiment with something else.’ Like there’s no justifying that,” he said. “But I wanted to do this … I went in with the mindset that I will find someone. Like I wanna try it.”

Even though Trevor claimed they weren’t “officially” dating, host Nick Lachey called him out for how unfair it was to join the dating experiment in such circumstances, and other contestants agreed.

“I definitely am not here to grill you by any means. It didn’t work out for us and I had just this intuition of why I shouldn’t have picked you. I couldn’t explain it, and now I can,” said Chelsea, his main connection in the pods.“ And what if I did choose you? Would she be lingering around?”

Despite all the questions and backlash, he admitted that he came on the show for “good and bad reasons.”

“I can’t take back that I went on the show,” he said. “I’m glad I went on the show ‘cause it taught me a lot about myself. And Chelsea, like, I was myself in the pods. I hope you know that, and any clarity you need off camera, like, I will give to you. You’re the only person I owe any response to.”

The hosts also addressed the moment at the lake party when Jimmy and Jess finally saw each other in person, and after he followed her on social media.

“I did follow her along with everybody else here at the same time the moment I got my phone back. Yeah I was eager to see her ... but I did withdraw it,” he said. “She saw it. I was giving her the nod of approval that I’m curious to see, and I don’t know. It just became a weird thing to me, and so I just withdrew it.”

Though they left on good terms during the show, Jess also called Jimmy out for a recent interview when he “threw her under the bus” and said she stormed out of their last date 10 minutes early.

In the end, the hosts rolled back the tapes with never-before-seen footage revealing that that’s not what happened in the 2+ hour conversation.

We also got an answer on whether or not Matthew said same thing to AD and Amber in the pods. If you remember, he was AD’s other strong connection in the pods.

During the reunion, the hosts also showed new footage of what really went down behind closed doors. While he didn’t say the exact same lines verbatim, he did have conversations with both women about leaving together and getting permission from their fathers to propose.

“It wasn’t that he was saying the same thing to both of us. It was the fact that I had shared something so intimate about my father passing,” AD shared after seeing the clips. “So when she comes in and she has the same story, as far as like the dad thing, that’s what really rocked me ‘cause I was like ‘Well, my story is obsolete then.’”

Surprisingly, AD also shared that she and Matthew have gone on a few dates since filming the show.

“The first one, he really wanted to take the time and apologize and I was like ‘You know, Matthew’s kind of cute’ ... “So then we did go on a second date,” AD admitted. “We live two completely different lifestyles ... and he just wants different things, and so do I, and we left it right there.”
