Louisiana's Lainey Wilson wins big at 66th Annual Grammy Awards

A country superstar with Northeastern Louisiana ties won big at Sunday night's Grammys.

Franklin Parish native Lainey Wilson took home the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Country Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for her latest album, "Bell Bottom Country."

Other nominees included Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers Osborne, Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers.

Wilson was also nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Save Me" with Jelly Roll. However, the pair lost to Bryan and Kacey Musgraves for "I Remember Everything."

"Bell Bottom Country," which was released on October 28, 2022, chartered No. 9 on Billboard's Top Country Albums. The album garnered Wilson several Country Music Association Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year.

The 66th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah, aired Sunday on CBS and is available for streaming on Paramount+.
