Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office: Armed man robbed woman on W&OD Trail

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who is reported to have robbed a woman in Sterling near the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail early Tuesday night.

Police said the suspect came up to the woman while she was walking on the trail between Sterling Boulevard and Church Road.

Tip from automotive website gives Fairfax County detectives lead in fatal hit and run

The woman told police that the man demanded her purse. After she gave it to him, he fled on his bicycle. She called the police once she got home.

Loudon County Police are asking anyone with information to call the detective at 703-777-1021 or report the tip anonymously by calling Loudoun County Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919.
