Maybe this guy thinks Halloween takes place during New York Fashion Week, and if that’s the case, then he wins. According to Page Six, homeboy with the platinum blonde hair and the 90s Versace blouse pictured above really fooled people into believing he’s Sisqo.
#AlternativeSisqo was spotted sitting front and center at Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 5 premiere, as well as Philipp Plein and Vivienne Tam shows. According to attendees, #AbsolutelyNotSisqo allegedly bragged about having performed in New York’s Meatpacking District recently. But the gag is, the real Dru Hill frontman was nowhere near the Big Apple.
#ArtificialSisqo–real name Gavin Barnes–almost got away with his foolery up until he tried to board a private jet with a few notable folks. When he offered his passport information, it was quickly realized he wasn’t the 90s R&B hitmaker. Page Six reached out to Barnes who denied the whole thing.
“I never said I was Sisqó,” Barnes said. “People thought I was him, and that wasn’t cool.”
Sisqo’s manager Jeff Allen also was contacted about the ordeal, and was just as lost in translation as the rest of us.”It’s flattering, I guess,” he said. “Thanks for bringing it to our attention.”
