According to police, two suspects were removing retail sensors from purses when a loss prevention officer heard the alarm. The loss prevention officer witnessed one of the suspects removing the sensor with an unknown item.

The loss prevention officer confronted the suspects and stated, “We are not doing this today.” He subsequently stood in front of the exit to keep the suspects from leaving. One of the suspects ordered the other suspect to push the loss prevention officer until he exited the store. The first suspect stole two purses and fled with the other suspect into a vehicle with a getaway driver.

According to police, the two purses were valued at approximately $286.

The three suspects were detained by a neighboring jurisdiction after stealing from another store shortly after the TJ Maxx theft. The loss prevention officer arrived at the scene and identified the suspects as the same thieves.
