Lori Loughlin, Felicity Huffman 'haven't grasped' that they could go to prison: report

One week after being charged for their alleged involvement in the massive college bribery scheme, neither Lori Loughlin nor Felicity Huffman have come to terms with the fact that they could end up behind bars.

Sources tell Us Weekly that "neither actress knew this would become so serious," and that "they haven't grasped the extent of their alleged crimes or the possibility of prison time."

The insider's claims seemingly reflect that of courtroom sketch artist Mona Shafer Edwards, who told Yahoo! last week that Loughlin's demeanor in court came off "a little arrogant."

"Kind of a defensive deflection like: Don’t touch me. What am I doing here? Where are my people? When am I getting out? It was so defiant," Edwards said of her drawing, which shows Loughln pursing her lips with her arms crossed. "An illustrator can bring that out maybe more than a camera. However, I wasn’t being subjective. I was just drawing what I saw."

Meanwhile, "Huffman was more authentic and genuine" during her court appearance last week.

Both actresses are part of the reported 50 people who were charged in connection with the scheme. They could face up to five years for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. Loughlin's husband, Mossimo Giannulli was also charged, but Huffman's husband, actor William H. Macy, avoided being indicted in the case.

Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 to get both of their daughters, Isabella Rose, 20, and Olivia Jade, 19, into the University of Southern California under the false pretense that they were sought-after recruits for the women's crew team.

Meanwhile, Huffman allegedly paid $15,000 to get an SAT proctor to change her older daughter, Sofia Grace's, incorrect answers on the test after she turned it in. The move reportedly resulted in a 400-point bump in Sofia Grace's SAT score from a practice test that she had taken months earlier.

Loughlin, Giannulli and Huffman were all arrested last week. The "Fuller House" star and her husband were each released on $1 million bonds, while Huffman was free after posting her $250,000 bail.

They're expected to appear in court in Boston at the end of the month.
