Celine Dion’s heart will go on in two big screen projects.

A day after a film based loosely on her life secured U.S. distribution, the singer’s longtime recording company announced the start of production for an untitled feature-length documentary.

Sony Music Entertainment’s Premium Content Division, in partnership with SME Canada and Vermilion Films, went public with plans for the project helmed by Academy Award-nominated documentarian Irene Taylor, whose first feature documentary, “Hear and Now,” won both a Peabody and the Audience Award at Sundance in 2007.

The powerhouse vocalist – known for ubiquitous pop ballads such as “Because You Loved Me,” “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” and “My Heart Will Go On” (from “Titanic”) – announced the forthcoming film on social media and on her website.

“It’s official. We’re starting production on my official documentary. Looking forward to working closely with [filmmaker Irene Taylor Brodsky] and @sonymusic on this project – one that is very personal and will show everyone a part of me that they haven’t seen before,” Dion tweeted.

“I’ve always been an open book with my fans, and with her sensitivity and thoughtful creativity I think that Irene will be able to show everyone a part of me that they haven’t seen before,” Dion said in a separate statement. “I know she’ll tell my story in the most honest and heartfelt way.”

Currently untitled, the project is being billed as “the definitive feature for one of the most immediately recognized, widely respected, and successful performers in pop music history.” Sony Music Entertainment is financing and distributing the film.

The 53-year-old French Canadian superstar is a five-time Grammy-winning artist who has sold more than 250 million records over a 40-year career.

Producers noted it will be made with Dion’s “full participation and support” and will examine her life story as well as her career.

A release date for the project hasn’t been announced.

Meanwhile, a film titled “Aline (The Voice of Love)” has been acquired by Roadside Attractions and Samuel Goldwyn Films for U.S. distribution early next year.

The critically musical comedy-drama, loosely based on Dion, has its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, generated much buzz.

For starters, the film’s 57-year-old actress-director Valérie Lemercier portrays a Celine Dion-like character at every age of her life, including as a 5-year-old child.

To its credit, the audacious film had a disclaimer with the opening title card declaring: “This film is inspired by the life of Celine Dion. It is, however, a work of fiction.”

According to Variety, “Aline” will be released Nov. 10 in French cinemas.
