Here is a look at the Titans as the NFL cuts begin.

NFL teams must trim their rosters from roughly 100 to 75 players.

The Tennessee Titans only had one surprised, but all were predicted correctly on my 53 man roster prediction last week.

Here they are:

Waived S Lamarcus Brutus, OT William Campbell, WRs Donte Foster and Reece Horn, LBs Deiontrez Mount and Amarlo Herrera, CBs Blidi Wreh-Wilson and Tyler Patman, OL Nick Richter and DEs Mike Smith and Ropati Pitoitua. Waived/injured C Andy Gallik.

Deiontrez Mount showed promise and had a nice offseason. I was relatively unimpressed in 2015, but pleasantly surprised this year. They have excellent outside linebacker depth. He should latch on to another team rather quickly.

Bold Predictions: Five bold predictions for Preseason Week 3

Injuries: Updates on DeMarcus Ware, Dez Bryant, Vontae Davis

“Bleeding” Wreh-Wilson is tall and athletic. He will likely be picked up as well. He got that nickname from fans due to allowing so many big plays.

We never did really get to see Joe Horn’s boy much. I’m still curious and wish we had.

Donte Foster was only recently signed so that’s not surprising. The other wide receiver signed that day, Jarrod West, survived these cuts. That’s something right there. Well it could be. In the least, the Titans wanted to get a closer look at the wideout from Syracuse that was in their rookie camp in 2015.

There has yet to be a rash of good players cut for the Titans to swoop in and utilize that first waiver wire priority. If it happens, it will be when the team’s go to 53.

These next four days til the final preseason game should contain plenty of trade offers for Jon Robinson. They shouldn’t be all that exciting- they rarely are. It should be something like a 7th round pick for Bishop Sankey or a conditional 7th for Justin Hunter. A mere token offer so that a team can circumvent the waiver wire. Sandwiches and IOUs are not allowed.

The Patriots have been rumored to be interested in Titans running backs for a few weeks now. Someone on twitter even suggested a David Fluellen rumor. Most notable has been Sankey and at this point it almost seems likely. The Patriots, desperate for runningbacks, released Donald Brown.

Around the league-

Former Titans starting defensive tackle Mike Martin was cut from the Eagles. He was a nice college player and even a former wrestler. I thought he had the right pedigree to stick in this league.

Tevin Westbrook was cut by the Bucs and Lache Seastrunk was waived by the Jets.

Brandon Harris was cut by the Miami Dolphins. He was signed by the Titans late in the year, never played. and cut before camp. He is a former second round cornerback.
