Drew Brees would widely be considered the best quarterback of an era except the one he’s playing in.

Unfortunately, the future Hall of Famer is in my opinion, the best quarterback of the 2000s/2010s not named Peyton Manning. We know everyone else in the world outside of New Orleans will say Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are better.

Brees hasn’t had Hall of Fame wideouts like Randy Moss, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Greg Jennings or Rob Gronkowski, and other slot studs Wes Welker and Julian Edelman. He always gets it done with new receivers every year.

For those of you who think Brees isn’t even in the class of Manning, Brady and Rodgers, consider the following stat:

Mhm…

Keep in mind the long list of players Brees has turned into stars: Joe Horn, Marques Colston, Jimmy Graham, Benjamin Watson, Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead. We saw how vulnerable Brady has been without Gronkowski and Edelman before, showing how overrated he is.

Brees led the NFL in passing yards last year, but most of the focus of course was on MVP Cam Newton, and rightfully so. But nobody acknowledged Brees’ phenomenal season, but such is life when Bill Belichick and a good defence aren’t a luxury you have.

But Brees continues to show how great he is, and we hope he can maintain his high level for several more years.
