The Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers, 24-10. Obviously, The Orange Crush defense was the key reason, forcing four turnovers and making Cam Newton’s life miserable in the victory.

Even though Denver emerged victorious, Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman decided it was a good time to be cocky. Norman took a shot at Thomas, saying the following about the Broncos star wide receiver:

“I don’t know what he was out there for. He was supposed to be an all-world guy, and I shut him down.”

That, of course, gave DT the prime position to shut up one of the NFL’s biggest loud mouths:

Yes, Norman shut down Thomas (who only had one catch in the game,) but it was all for nothing. You can’t forget that Thomas also drew a HUGE defensive holding call off of Norman on a third-and-goal situation. Instead of having to take a field goal, the Broncos got a new set of downs where C.J. Anderson ran into the end zone to seal the victory.

Norman should have known what was coming his way. In DT’s case, it’s another example of “A win’s a win.” He had his worst season since 2011 and yet his Broncos dominated the Super Bowl with ease. No shame.

Sadly, Norman is no longer a Panther. Assuming he stays with Washington, the Broncos will face them in 2017, based off of the NFL scheduling rotation. Even though this beef may be forgotten by then, both guys will get a chance to beat the other in Round 2.
