Long-time Kansas City DJ loses battle with cancer
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Long-time Kansas City DJ, Slacker, passed away on Tuesday night due to complications from acute myeloid leukemia.
KCMO Talk Radio made the announcement Wednesday morning on X saying, “Slacker was a voice of, and for, Kansas City.”

Slacker was on the air for more than 33 years. He spent the last 16 years with 101 the Fox.
He was known for helping veterans with the Cars 4 Heroes campaign and participating in many other local charities.
