Long Island man allegedly threatened to bomb and shoot up high school: police

DIX HILLS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man who threatened mass harm at a Long Island high school on Tuesday was arrested on Thursday afternoon, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

Ryan Christopher, 42, from Patchogue, allegedly threatened to bomb and shoot up Half Hollow Hills East High School in Dix Hills, police said.

Christopher, who is known to school officials, called and left a threatening voicemail, police sources said.

He was arrested near his home and charged with making a threat of mass harm, which is a misdemeanor. Christopher was expected to be arraigned on Friday at the first district court in Central Islip.
