How long will the freezing rain last?

ST. LOUIS – Our freezing rain event is on track to begin early Monday and continue through the morning commute. Caution will be needed for travel all day

. The transition from ice to cold rain should begin around noon on Monday. The freezing rain should end for the bulk of the St. Louis area from 3-6 p.m. Most areas should see rain Monday evening.

The precipitation will be light, which means a couple of things: we are not overly concerned about power lines or tree limbs coming down. But even a small amount of ice on untreated surfaces will be slick and dangerous all day.
