Get your towels ready – it's about to go down.

The Lonely Island is finally returning to TV after leaving Saturday Night Live about six years ago. Freeform, formerly known as ABC Family, has picked up the comedy trio's pilot Alone Together.

According to Freeform's press release, Alone Together will be about, "two overlooked millennial misfits from different backgrounds as they try to make their way into the vain and status-obsessed culture of Los Angeles only to find salvation in their male/female strictly platonic friendship."

Comedians Esther Povitsky and Benji Aflalo will star as the young man and woman who have a rare, truly platonic friendship. They will write the pilot and executive produce the show with Eben Russell.

Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer make up the Lonely Island, a comedy trio that has been together since 2001.

They also spent several years making us laugh on SNL with hilarious viral videos including "Dick in a Box," "I'm on a Boat" and "I Just Had Sex."

As of now, the Lonely Island boys are only confirmed to produce the pilot, but we hope they'll eventually make an appearance with a new classic song.
