'London will never be cowed': vigil held for attack victims
Jack Merritt and Saskia Jones where killed when Usman Khan, a man convicted of terrorism offences in 2012, went on the rampage armed with kitchen knives at a prisoner rehabilitation conference beside London Bridge.
At a vigil In Guildhall Yard, less than a mile from the attack site, the Mayor of London said the best way to defeat "this hatred" is not by turning on each other but by focusing on the values that bind us, the heroism of those who ran towards danger, and by drawing inspiration from the lives of the victims.
Merritt, 25, and Jones, 23, were both a part of the University of Cambridge's Learning Together program to help educate and rehabilitate prisoners.
