Logansport Utilities: Water, traffic interruptions coming Monday

Apr. 7—Logansport Utilities announced Friday that residents can expect water and traffic interruptions beginning on Monday.

The first interruption will involve water services along the 1800 block of North Street as the department installs a new water valve necessary for the ongoing water service line replacements project.

Water service interruptions may cause a loss of water pressure resulting a little to no water flow at water fixtures, LU said in a press release.

Logansport Utilities advised drivers to avoid the area beginning at 8 a.m. They said 19th Street will be closed at North Street for crews to work safely. The work is expected to last four to six hours.

The second interruption is in response to the power outage caused by a fiber company that took place on Thursday, April 4.

Both lanes of High Street from Yorktown Road to the west entrance of Parkmont Drive will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on both Monday and Tuesday, April 9.

Permanent repairs will be made by the electric department to underground wiring in the area.

Drivers should avoid the area and seek alternate routes during the scheduled closings.
