Logansport house explosion under investigation; two injured

May 13—An explosion destroyed a home at the corner of Yorktown and Lexington roads Sunday afternoon in Logansport.

According to Logansport Fire Chief Rick Bair, a call came in about an explosion a little before 3 p.m. Investigators were on scene until around midnight.

"We got there, there was definitely an explosion," Bair said.

Four occupants were in the home at the time of the explosion, two of which were transferred to a hospital in Indianapolis for injuries. The other two escaped with no injuries, Bair said. No other updates were provided.

The cause of the explosion is unknown at this time and is under investigation. The state Fire Marshall's office is also involved with the investigation.
