Logan Paul Faces Backlash from PETA After Using a Taser on a Dead Rat

“Shame on you, YouTube.”

Logan Paul officially made his return to regularly scheduled vlogging this week, but it hasn't been without controversy. And one of his newest videos has now caught the ire of PETA and social media for his mistreatment of animals.

The YouTuber had been on a three-week break from posting following a video he created that showed the dead body of someone who apparently died by suicide. He has since returned to the video platform, first with a suicide awareness video and then a comeback video.

Social media has not responded kindly to the return. In a new video posted on February 5, Logan is seen pulling a fish out of the water and points out that it's "still breathing," only to put it on the ground. Later in the video, Logan uses a taser on two dead rats. TMZ reports that the segment titled "Get These Rats" has caught the attention of PETA. The organization's senior vice president Lisa Lange told TMZ that they consider the video to be repulsive.

PETA has called on YouTube to take action regarding the video saying: "This sort of content has no place on YouTube or anywhere else, as it could desensitize young people to cruelty to animals. PETA is calling on the platform to remove it." The sentiments are also backed by social media, with some users writing that Logan should have "no more chances" and saying "you'll never learn."
