Logan Circle stabbing: Manhunt for three suspects after woman killed in Washington
Police have launched a manhunt for three suspects after a female jogger was stabbed to death in Washington DC.
The woman was running through the Logan Circle neighbourhood in Northwest Washington at about 8.00pm local time on Tuesday when the attack took place, according to Washington police spokesperson Alaina Gertz.
The stabbing death remained under investigation as of Wednesday afternoon, as local officials sought to determine whether there was a motive behind the killing, or if it was a random act of violence.
Witnesses observed the jogger stumbling into a nearby Chinese restaurant after the stabbing, covered in blood as people attempted to provide aid.
The restaurant’s security camera footage reportedly shows the woman entering the eatery before an ambulance rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

In a tweet, the Metropolitan Police Department said it was searching for three male suspects, one of which was “wearing all black clothing,” while another was “wearing white hat, white shirt, and black pants” and the third was "wearing mustard colorued shirt".
Police did not immediately respond to enquiries, and have also yet to release the identity of the jogger.
Local residents expressed surprise over the fatal stabbing incident, acknowledging that the upscale neighbourhood wasn’t known for violent crimes.
"'Wrong place at the wrong time’ is so inadequate and so unfair," one Twitter user wrote. "The number of times I’ve run through that block & waited at that light…random violence will never, ever, ever make sense."
Police were expected to hold a press conference about the stabbing death on Wednesday afternoon.
