Lockheed buying Aveos engine maintenance unit

Lockheed says it will buy engine maintenance and repair unit from Aveos Fleet Performance

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. said Monday its Canadian unit will buy the assets of Aveos Fleet Performance Inc.'s engine maintenance, repair and overhaul business.

Lockheed said the business is based in Montreal, and it services engines that are used in Airbus 320, Canadair RJ, and Embraer jets. The company did not disclose terms of the deal.

Shares of Lockheed Martin gained 32 cents to $94.22 and were unchanged in aftermarket trading.
