Lockdown ends at Cal State Fullerton campus; armed robbery suspect remains at large

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Officials have lifted a lockdown for students and staff stranded for hours on the campus of Cal State Fullerton in Southern California. But police have yet to find two armed robbery suspects they were seeking.

Shortly before midnight, the university tweeted that "all buildings are now clear and occupants are free to leave."

Students had been told to stay in place while officers combed the campus for at least one suspect in an armed robbery at a Riverside County jewelry store. Some students had to wait roughly eight hours.

The robbery left one person shot and wounded at the store. Five suspects in a Lexus were chased by police until they crashed near the Fullerton campus.

Authorities say at least one suspect ran onto campus, and two remained at large late Wednesday.
