Local students raise over $17,000 for Midstate 8-year-old girl who beat cancer

We recognize a hometown hero and the children they support.

Students at the Goddard Schools of Harrisburg and Enola raised money last month for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the school matched it for a total of over $17,000.

Students were inspired by eight year old Allison, who is a Midstate girl who battled Leukemia at age five and just rang a ceremonial bell – marking the end of her treatment.
