Local roller derby team talks upcoming home opener and youth clinic

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) – The season officially kicks off for roller derby teams across the Southeast this weekend and there’s a local team looking to take home a title.

Little City Roller Derby is based in the Tri-Cities but practices in Bristol, Tennessee at the Bristol Skateway. On March 23 and 24, the team will be away for the first game of the season in Knoxville.

The team’s home season opener is April 14 at Noon. Doors will open at the Bristol Skateway at 11:30 a.m. that day and tickets will be sold at the door for $15.

Little City Roller Derby also plans to host a youth clinic on May 13, 15 and 19 for skaters ages 12 to 17. Those interested can register after the home opener.
