Timothy Walker was named the Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (SEAFWA) Officer of the Year earlier this month after more than 20 years of working as a game warden.

Walker has served in Van Zandt and Angelina counties since graduating from the Texas Game Warden Training Academy in 2001. TPWD said Walker embodies the spirit of conservation law enforcement, often going after cases deemed unachievable by other officers that resulted in felony arrests.
