Local EMA keeps an eye on potentioal severe weather

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Local EMA departments are keeping an eye on the weather.

Dothan-Houston County EMA has activated its emergency operations center when they brought in all of their partners, Dothan police, Dothan fire, Houston County volunteer fire departments, and other partnering agencies to coordinate response.

It’s a standard routine ahead of severe weather.

They’re monitoring the two rounds of severe weather especially the round that’s coming in the early morning hours.

That’s probably the safe bet it’s looking like we will have a lull so after this afternoon storm goes through we will have a break until the next one starts, but we are going to keep an eye on it and coordinate with our other partners to keep everyone safe.
