The orange tabby got into the back of the ambulance but saw paramedics didn’t need any help there so he got into the driver’s seat and offered to drive. The chief agreed that the cat’s driving would likely be better than some of the people he’d seen on the roads, but in the end, he decided to take the wheel himself.

The cat was kept inside a safe, warm vehicle during the rest of the cleanup, and was afterward taken to Dumb Friends League Buddy Center in Castle Rock.
