CHILLICOTHE — Over 50 businesses and organizations recently had the chance to build connections with other investors and with the community during the annual Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.
The event had businesses set up at tables with fun door prizes and information about who they are for people to browse and learn more. Guests had the chance to win decorations, gift cards, free shirts and more at various tables.
President and CEO of the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce Mike Throne said this annual event is great for the community because it helps showcase chamber members who are invested in the area.
"It's a great celebration of our businesses," said Throne.
Hometown Apparel owner Ben Thompson said he loves events like these as it allows him to show his love for the community and connect with those around him. He is grateful for the opportunity to connect with potential customers by talking to visitors as well as visiting other tables.
During this event, Downtown Chillicothe introduced Downtown Dollars. This money is available in various increments and once purchased can be used at over 100 locations, including stores and restaurants, in the downtown area.
