What in the actual “Final Destination” has happened here?! A Georgia woman died in a freak accident after reaching for an AirPod that dropped underneath a conveyor belt.

The Columbia County’s Sheriff’s Office said 21-year-old Alyssa Drinkard was working her shift as a line worker at a plant for Club Car Friday evening when the incident occurred. The report says she dropped her AirPod below the conveyor belt. All AirPod owners know that if you lose one, you can’t just buy a replacement but must spend at least $129 for a new set altogether.

Worker Fae’Zsha Smith told police she was working across from Drinkard and offered to grab the earbud for her when it was safe, per NBC News. At first, she recalled Drinkard saying she’d just get another pair. However, a second later, she looked back to find Drinkard’s arm caught in the machine after attempting to grab it herself. She recalled the traumatic scene of Drinkard’s arm being bent, pinning her to the machine and seeing a “significant amount” of blood.

“I’m kind of traumatized from seeing her that way,” Smith told the police.

After Smith called maintenance for help, they shut the machine down and tried to take it apart by cutting the metal frame from around the conveyor, the report says. Drinkard still had a pulse after the staff freed her and they performed life saving measures while they waited for her to be transferred to Doctor’s Hospital.

She died after succumbing to her injuries.

Club Car responded to the incident by giving their condolences to Drinkard’s family and saying they are investigating the incident, in a statement to The Augusta Press: “Our sincere condolences and thoughts are with the family, friends and all impacted by this loss. We are working with authorities and the contractor in an investigation to determine the facts about what led to the incident.”
