LKQ will change stock ticker symbol

CHICAGO (AP) — Auto replacements parts maker LKQ Corp. said Tuesday that it will change its stock ticker symbol starting May 22, simplifying the code that investors use to trade its shares.

The company said its new symbol will be "LKQ." The company currently trades under the symbol "LKQX."

"This ticker change aligns our stock symbol with the strong brand name we have developed in the automotive marketplace ..." CEO Robert L. Wagman said in a statement.

Shares of LKQ rose 18 cents to close at $35.50. The stock has traded between $20.38 and $36.08 over the last year.
