Liz Hurley’s son Damian Hurley has paid homage to his mother’s iconic Versace safety pin dress.

Today, the 17-year-old son of Elizabeth Hurley, 54, attended a photocall for the launch of Pat McGrath’s ‘Sublime Perfection: The System’ at Selfridges department store in London.

A muse for the celebrity make-up artist, Damian recently appeared in a promotional video as the face of her latest foundation launch – and people couldn’t stop talking about his resemblance to his famous mother.

The pair share the same chiselled bone structure, piercing green eyes and long, thick brunette locks.

At today’s event, he wore a look which once again drew attention to those enduring Hurley genes.

He wore head-to-toe Versace include loafers and a sleek black suit decorated with a series of gold pins.

It was a look reminiscent of a dress his mother, Liz, wore on the red carpet to attend the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ on the arm of then-boyfriend Hugh Grant in 1994.

The daring dress, with its thigh high slit, cut-away panels and safety pin detail, propelled Liz, then a little-known actor, to overnight fame.

Damian’s homage to Liz’s 1994 look wasn’t lost on his 38,100 Instagram followers, with whom he shared a series of photographs.

One wrote, “Love it ..... your take on mums frock,” while another commented, “Same as your mums famous dress!”.

Earlier this year, Liz herself paid homage to the safety pin dress, wearing a lookalike version of the gown on the front of Harper’s Bazaar April 2019 edition.

This isn’t the first time Damian, Liz’s son from a relationship with American businessman and film producer Steve Bing, has taken style inspiration from his mother.

Earlier this year, he went as far as borrowing his mother’s short-sleeved camouflage T-shirt – and mimicking her exact pose in a previous photograph.
