Livingston Co. town flooded by heavy rainfall

CHATSWORTH, Ill. (WCIA) — Parts of the Livingston County town of Chatsworth are underwater after the town got almost five inches of rain over the last few days.

Photos sent to WCIA from Bruce Sanders show streets and yards flooded by rainwater. Sanders’ said his home has water inside and does not have any power.

Zach Gerdes, Chief of the Chatsworth Fire Protection District, said that once the rain was over, several firefighters went out to help town employees put up barricades on inundated roads. No fire or EMS calls were received related to the floodwater and by Tuesday morning, all roads were open again.
