Livery cab street hails, ride shares end in NYC

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission says emergency measures it had implemented after the superstorm are being discontinued.

That means no more sharing taxi rides or hailing livery cabs on the street after 11:59 p.m. Monday.

The TLC says the measures are no longer necessary since the city's transit system is largely up and running.
