Livermore police search for double homicide suspect

(KRON) — Police are searching for a man suspected of killing two people inside a Livermore hotel on Saturday. The Livermore Police Department identified the suspect as Yonston Vazquez, 30, of Oakland.

On April 27, authorities responded to a report of a shooting at La Quinta Inn near Interstate 580 on the city’s east side. Livermore PD officers located two gunshot victims inside a room at the hotel. One victim was a 26-year-old female from Oakland. The other victim was a 21-year-old man from Hayward. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

Vazquez was identified as a suspect by Livermore PD’s Criminal Investigations Bureau, and it was later learned that he knew one of the victims, according to authorities. Police have not located Vazquez and said he “should be considered armed and dangerous.”
