This live weather icon for iOS 7 could keep you dry on a rainy day
One of the most underutilized features of the iOS platform is the ability to update app icons in real time. The clock icon slowly ticks away the hours, the calendar icon flips through the days, but almost everything else remains stagnant on the screens of our iPhones and iPads. If you’d like a more lively home screen, it will take a little bit of work, but it might be worth the effort. AppAdvice noticed on Thursday that Hamza Sood has put together a small tweak called LiveWeatherIcon for jailbroken iOS 7 devices that will bring the icon of the official Weather app to life, updating in real time with the temperature and current weather conditions. How did Apple not beat Sood to such an obvious modification? The world may never know. LiveWeatherIcon is now available on the Cydia Store for $1.00.
