Major snowstorm hits Denver and Colorado on March 14

DENVER (KDVR) — One of the biggest snowstorms in years hit Denver and communities along Colorado’s Front Range and foothills on March 14, 2024. The snow brought double-digit snow totals to Denver’s weather forecast and a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day.

Winter storm warnings were issued through 6 a.m. Friday for Denver and surrounding areas up and down the Front Range. Heavy, wet snow made travel difficult and caused power outages as the storm made its way through Colorado. School districts canceled classes on Thursday and Friday, along with many local government offices.
