Polls closed at 6 p.m. local time across Kentucky in Tuesday’s primary election, and work is already underway to tabulate results in a slew of contests.

At the top of ballots for Democrats and Republicans were respective presidential primaries, though President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have already been named nominees.

Other races appearing on ballots across the Bluegrass State include primaries for congressional seats, state house and senate positions critical to Kentucky’s legislature and judicial and local races. In Fayette County, there are three primaries for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council.

You can catch up on all the races with our 2024 Kentucky Primary Voter Guide.

If you are looking for primary race results outside Fayette County, visit the secretary of state’s live election results site for the latest returns.

The graphics below will update as new vote totals are available from the secretary of state, whose office processes polling results from every county in Kentucky. We’ll mark races when a primary winner is called.

Note all results below are unofficial until votes are canvassed Friday, May 24.
