Maryland's 1st Congressional District results: Harris wins for GOP, MIller for Dems

Several candidates are running in Maryland's primary election to be the U.S. Representative from District 1.

On the GOP side, incumbent Andy Harris faces two challengers, and there are two candidates facing off on the Democratic side.

Note: Statewide, there were over 200,000 mail-in ballots sent by local election officials, but not yet received, as of 6 p.m. on May 13, according to the state board of elections website.

With all District 1 precincts reporting Tuesday night, here are the results reported on election night

Republicans

Andy Harris, 49,151 votes, 78.41 percent

Michael Scott Lemon, 3,732 votes, 5.95 percent

Chris Bruneau Sr., 9,804 votes, 15.64 percent

Democrats

Blane H. Miller III, 17,644 votes, 60.01 percent

Blessing T. Oludaware, 11,760 votes, 39.99 percent
