This Little Raptor May Be the Coolest Puppet You've Ever Seen
Puppets don't get the respect they used to. Film puppetry, like the type seen in the original Star Wars trilogy and too many horror movies to name, has been replaced with CGI. Outside of the occasional festival, making objects move with your hands doesn't seem to much space outside of metaphor these days.
Well, a cool raptor puppet may be just the thing to show you what you're missing.
Barnaby Dixon's raptor has all the detail of a collectible, but it's meant to be interactive. Dixon's got a whole Paetron set up for puppets and animation. What he's doing is a lot more innovative than sock puppets, and if you're interested in a forgotten artistic medium you should check out his work.
