EVANSVILLE − Ash Wednesday is Feb. 14, and that means the season of Lent and Friday fish fries is upon us. Here is a list of fish fries to be found around the Evansville area between now and Easter.

Corpus Christi Parish

5528 Hogue Road; 812-422-2027

Feb. 23, 5-7 p.m. or until sold out. On the menu will be a shrimp boil with shrimp, potatoes and corn, along with sides including green beans, cornbread and Cajun dipping sauce. $13 for ½ pound of shrimp; $18 for 1 pound of shrimp. Kids’ meals with mac and cheese and sides will be available for $5. Drive through only; cash only.

Germania Maennerchor

March 8 and 29, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. On the menu will be two fried fish filets with Nisbet Inn German potato salad, creamy coleslaw, baked beans and rye bread. $13 per person. Cookies will be for sale.

Holy Redeemer Parish

Feb. 23 and March 15, from 5-7 p.m. On the menu will be fried fish, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, cheddar biscuit, dessert and a drink (drinks for dine in only.) Dine in or drive through. $10 per person. Dine in or drive through.

Feb. 14, 4:30-7:15 p.m. On the menu will be a fish sandwich, chips and dessert for $7. Drive through only.

St.  Benedict’s Brew Works, Ferdinand

Feb. 14, Noon-7p.m. The meal will be served in the Brewery. On the menu will be three pieces of fish, cheesy potatoes, coleslaw or potato salad, hush puppies and dessert. $13 for adults. Kids' dinners also available. Dine in or carry out.

Feb. 16 and 23; March 1, 8, 15, and 22, from 4:30-7 p.m. The meal will be served in the Sisters of St. Benedict event hall. On the menu will be all-you-can-eat fish (three types to choose from) rotating sides, cheese pizza, dessert, tea and lemonade. Craft beer available for purchase. $16 for adults, $8 for kids 6-12, kids under 6 eat free. Drive through meals with three pieces of fish, sides and dessert will be available for $13.

St. Benedict Cathedral Parish, Knights of Columbus
