Liquor license for Dollar Tree denied

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Monument Valley Liquor, a small business in Grand Junction, started a petition after Dollar Tree (located in the same shopping center) applied for a liquor license from the county.

Raely-Ann, co-owner of Monument Valley Liquor, told WesternSlopeNow she was relieved to learn Dollar Tree would not obtain a liquor license.

“Hearing from the Mesa County Clerk and Recorders Office that it would be denied was an absolute excitement, we could have jumped for joy with that.”

Raely-Ann called this a win for small businesses.
