Here is a lineup of local Memorial Day Parades
Parades and ceremonies will be present all across St. Clair County to honor fallen soldiers for Memorial Day.
Memorial Day lands on May 27 this year. Here are just a few local parades residents can attend.
Port Huron
Parade line up will begin at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Zebra Bar on Quay Street. Spectators should find their spot along Military Street.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. and make its way to Pine Grove Park. Once there, a short service will be held, during which two fallen soldiers' names will be added to the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial.
Marysville
Some slight changes are being made to this year's Memorial Day Parade in Marysville. In previous years, the parade would make its way down Huron Boulevard and end at Marysville Park.
However, due to the park's pavilion not being completed, the route will now continue down Huron Boulevard, turn onto River Road and end at the Veteran's Memorial. A ceremony will be held at the memorial.
Check-in for the parade will be at 9 a.m., with the parade beginning at 10 a.m.
St. Clair
The St. Clair Memorial Day Parade will line up at noon on Vine Street. The parade will begin promptly at 1 p.m. The route will proceed down Vine Street toward M-29 and head south. The parade will end at Memorial Park. A remembrance ceremony will follow.
Marine City
Line up for the Marine City Memorial Day Parade will be at 9 a.m., with the parade starting at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Water Street and Broadway Street. The parade will proceed down Broadway Street, turn south on Main Street, then turn onto St. Clair Street and loop back onto Water Street.
The parade will end at Water Works Park where a memorial service will then take place.
