Here’s all the royal news you need to know for the week of March 14, 2024.

• The royal family shared an old photo of King Charles and his late mom, Queen Elizabeth, to celebrate Mother’s Day. (FYI, the U.K. holiday falls on a different day than the U.S. version.)

• Worcester Cathedral announced that Queen Camilla will step in for King Charles and hand out gifts during the 2024 Royal Maundy Service on March 28. She will make history as the first consort to lead such a traditional event.

• Queen Camilla hosted the Women of the World reception at Buckingham Palace and debuted her very own Barbie doll.

• Today, Prince Harry and Prince William will reunite at Diana Legacy Award ceremony to honor their late mother, Princess Diana.

• Queen Camilla attended a Commonwealth Day reception at Marlborough House, where she met with guests and High Commissioners. The royal family shared a slideshow of photos from the event on Instagram.

• Kate Middleton broke her post-surgery silence and shared a never-before-seen photo featuring herself and her three kids, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

• It didn’t take long for questions to arise about whether the family photo was Photoshopped. This prompted the Princess of Wales to release a personal statement to clear up any misconceptions.

• In the aftermath of Princess Catherine’s apology, several U.K. news outlets started to question the legitimacy of the portrait that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle used to announce their second pregnancy. The photographer, Misan Harriman, set the record straight by sharing the original image on social media.

• One day after the panel, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited the family of a Uvalde shooting victim. They even surprised one member, Claudia Martinez, with a birthday cake.

• King Charles was unable to attend the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, but that didn’t stop him from sharing a video message on social media celebrating the annual holiday.
