Fans of James Cameron's legendary 1997 film Titanic are likely well-acquainted with a famous door at the end of the movie. Rose, played by Kate Winslet, lays on a wooden door floating among the frozen dead bodies that came from the ship, including her deceased lover Jack, played in Leonardo DiCaprio in his breakout role.

One lucky Titanic fan has gotten their hands on the iconic door. Heritage Auctions sold off several recognizable Hollywood props at its recent Treasures from Planet Hollywood auction. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the auction house noted that it's not actually a door, but "in reality part of the door frame just above the [ship's] first-class lounge entrance." The piece of balsa wood fetched an eye-popping $718,750.

It's not the only piece of Titanic history that was sold. The chiffon dress that Rose wore at the end of the movie went for $125,000.

The door brought in the most money at the auction and far outdid some of the other items sold. This included Harrison Ford's whip from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ($525,000), Jack Nicholson's ax from The Shining ($125,000), Tobey Maguire's black Symbiote Suit from Spider-Man 3 ($125,000), and Bill Murray's red bowling ball from Kingpin ($350,000).

As for the door, even director James Cameron couldn't answer the age-old question of whether both Jack and Rose could have both fit on the piece of wood. "Jack might’ve lived, but there’s a lot of variables," he said last year in a 25th anniversary National Geographic special. "I think his thought process was, 'I’m not going to do one thing that jeopardizes her.' And that’s 100 percent in character."
