Buying Gift Cards At Costco Could Save You Hundreds of Dollars

The holidays are quickly approaching, and if you're like many people, you've already begun picking out gifts for friends and family. But before you buy another mini candle set or a pair of fuzzy socks, there's a money-saving tip you should absolutely know about.
If you're a Costco member, you have the potential to save hundreds of dollars simply by purchasing gift cards at a discount on Costco.com. Although the offer has been around for a while, some people are just finding out about it thanks to a video that has gone viral on TikTok.
In the video, TikTok user and financial educator @raviwadan offered a breakdown of how much you can save by when you buy certain gift cards on the Costco website in bulk.
"It surprises me how many people don't know this, but Costco.com actually sells gift cards to some of your favorite places at a discount. Here's some examples. So right now you can get a $500 Southwest Airlines gift card for $450. You can get $100 worth of Domino's gift cards for $80. You can get $100 worth of Papa John's gift cards for $80," he explained.
Although @raviwadan specifically touched on buying gift cards on Costco.com, according to The Motley Fool those same gift cards can be purchased in-store at Costco, but the selection might be more limited.
Another piece of information to keep in mind is that some gift cards, specifically those for events, might come with restrictions that limit them to a certain date.
Well, either way, paying less for a gift card than it's actually worth is pretty amazing. Looks looks like our holiday shopping just got a lot easier.
